68 – Children of Mars

This is it podcastorians, our last Carthage-centric episode for a bit! I thought about splitting this one in two but nahhhh if we’re going to have one last Punic episode, then it should be a lengthy one! Now there may be a slight delay getting the next episodes out, but c’mon, 4 in 4 weeks is pretty good for me wouldn’t you say?

And don’t forget to head to http://jeffvandyck.com/ and show some support to an amazing composer!

Listening to the end of the podcast, all I could think was “yeah yeah, every society deserves some attention, but who cares if Mike Duncan already did t, give me more Rome- whats that? Oh, you’re gonna cover Axum? Romans wore togas, conquered evrryone, and fed Christians to lions. Now on to the Ark of the Covenant!”

Seriously, Axum is probably my favorite underappreciate civilization, followed closely by the Kushans and thr Khazars. Looking forward to it.

Thanks – I can’t wait to cover Axum and the Sabaens and that whole area of the world. Ethiopia had a big presence in the ancient world well into the early ADs and it’s so much fun to talk about!
