26 – Assyria

“Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years. In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria took Samaria and carried Israel away into Assyria.”

2 Kings 17:5-6

Big thank you to Owen Plant for allowing the use of his music today! It’s sort of funny that I chose the one song that sounds nothing like his other stuff, but his normal fare is Americana folksy songs with Caribbean undertones. Yeah…you’re probably wondering how that would work in today’s show too. Welp, just trust me that the song I picked, Patchouli Sid, fits in perfectly. Have I steered you wrong with the music so far? NOPE.

I couldn’t help but notice that you stopped putting links to additional material on these pages. Any reason? I loved the maps and paintings and the Egyptian site that went through all the Pharoahs was an amazing resource.

    Thanks! Love the podcast!

I wish I could spend more time building this site, but truthfully there’s just too much for one podcaster to do alone. Especially when the new episodes keep me busy! (That and work, after all.)

Maybe during the summer vacation I’ll take a swing at updating some of these pages…

Yay.. we’re out of creationism and make believe myths and back into scholarly reality :)

Do episodes 20 – 25 make me think less of you? Of course.
